The Smile TrainWith a lean organization and modest staff of less than a dozen employees, we develop and manage hundreds of partners and programs with thousands of doctors, nurses, hospitals and organizations. Our average cost-per surgery of $250 is the lowest of any cleft organization. One of the things donors like the best about The Smile Train is that 100% of donations goes towards helping children. 245 5th Avenue, Suite 2201 New York, NY 10016NEW YORK, NY 10016Phone: 1-877-KIDSMILE (543-7645) or 1-212-689-9199 Website: http://smiletrain.org

N Street VillageStrength and dignity are her clothing, And she smiles at the future. Proverbs 31:25 Since January 2005, one hundred and thirty-six women of N Street Village have gained beautiful smiles because of our extraordinary volunteer dental professionals. Some of these women received a first-ever cleaning, while other received long-awaited dentures. As a result of the dental clinic, these women have gained confidence, had their health restored, and enjoyed a renewed appearance for job searching. The hygienist and dentists who work unselfishly with our women - provide their services in our clinic and in their offices pro bono. They have been a gift and a blessing to N Street Village! We would like to add to our pool of dental professionals to serve more women and to prepare for the retirement some of our current good Samaritans. You can help us maintain and update our roster. 1333 N Street NW Washington, DC 20005 WASHINGTON, DC 20005Phone: (202) 9392096 Website: http://www.nstreetvillage.org
VDA Mission of MercyThe Virginia Employment Commission 2000 Population Projects estimated that one-in-five Virginians live in an underserved area. Typically these are rural communities with a significant impoverished population. Individuals in these areas (primarily the working poor, the elderly, the disabled, or the uninsured) are often left without any dental care to face extreme pain, discomfort, and embarrassment. In response to the lack of access to care and the resulting poor oral health of thousands of indigent Virginians, the Virginia Dental Health Foundation launched the Mission of Mercy (MOM) and began to "make caring visible." The Mission of Mercy projects are conducted in identified, underserved areas of the state where there are not enough dental practitioners to adequately address the oral health needs of the community. Any individual who is able to show up on site is considered eligible. Our intentions are not to judge, but rather to serve. Thus far, a total of twenty MOM projects have been held throughout Virginia including Wise County, the Eastern Shore, Northern Virginia, Martinsville, Norfolk, and Grundy. For each MOM project, there are hundreds of volunteers who participate. To date, 14,446 patients have been provided with over $5.7 million worth of free dental care. Virginia's MOM projects have broken records for the largest two and three day dental outreach clinics ever conducted in the United States. Other states have used the Mission of Mercy as a model for their state dental missions, i.e. Texas and KansasVDA Mission of Mercy 7525 Staples Mill Road Richmond, VA 23228RICHMOND, VA 23228Fax: (804) 261-1660 Website: http://www.vadental.org
